We are delighted to announce that CCP has been selected as a participating site of the award winning Reach Out and Read program. As part of this national program, we will give a brand new book to every child at every well visit from 6 months to 5 years old! That’s 10 new, age-appropriate books per child! We will also use the program to promote early literacy and learning, school readiness, child development and parenting.
The program is self-funded, which means that every site is responsible for providing the funds for the books. We will announce ways you can participate and contribute in the near future.
This program is part of our larger effort to promote early literacy, optimize child development, enhance child-parent bonding, prepare children for learning and school, and improve the lives of children and families in our community. Look for more announcements regarding other programs in the near future.
