FAQ
Are your clinicians board certified?
Yes, Dr. Pulliam and all of our nurse practitioners are board certified. In addition, Dr. Pulliam is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.
At which hospitals are you on staff?
Dr. Pulliam is on staff at Piedmont Henry Hospital and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta/CHOA (Egleston and Scottish Rite). Visit this page for more information.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes! We are accepting new patients on all insurance plans.
What are your office hours?
Currently, our office hours are from 9 am to 5 pm Monday – Friday. The office is closed from 12:00 to 1:30 pm for lunch.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We see patients by appointment only. This allows us to serve you and all of our patients better because it allows us to keep wait times to a minimum. While we do not see walk-ins, you should have no problem getting an appointment the same day you call! (See the next question).
How long do I have to wait to get an appointment?
In most cases, you can be seen the day you call if you want! This is true for sick and for well child visits, although at times we may have to limit the number of well-child visits scheduled so that we can see every sick child that needs to be seen that day.
Can you see my child the day they get sick and need to be seen?
Yes! If your child is sick, we are committed to seeing her the day she needs to be seen. There are, of course, times when this is not possible, but in general this is our commitment. Children do not choose when to get sick, and we are committed to the very best care for your child and your family.
How long do I have to wait in the office to be seen?
We believe that your time is valuable, and have a no-wait policy. Under most circumstances, you should not have to wait longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room, and this is simply the time it takes us to sign you in and get you into a room. Once you are in the room, you again should only have to wait a few minutes to be seen by the doctor.
Do you have separate sick and well waiting areas?
Yes, we have a separate waiting room for well children.
Do you perform any lab tests in the office?
We perform many basic lab tests in our office, including hemoglobin, strep, flu, mono, RSV, cholesterol, lead, and urine tests. For other lab tests, we usually will send you to an outside lab based on which lab your insurance plan uses.
